For your martial arts we have a wonderful Bokken made of Giho in the Itto-Ryu-Form. The Bokken has a heel for a Tsuba. The bokken is very well suited for practising forms and for contact work. Its centre of gravity is about 15 cm from the end of the handle to the tip of the bokken (kissaki).
Giho wood is mainly used for construction, botts and furniture making and also for decorative veneers because of its strength and ability to withstand pressure or damage.
